Description

In these worksheets the students practice using sentence starters (sentence frames) to expand on the given 2-3 words sentence starters given. In addition, all the sentence starters in these worksheets are composed of high frequency words in order to help students recognize, practice, and use high frequency words (which will lead to fluency in reading).

In addition, on each page, the students color in the day of the week and notes the date in a dedicated place on the top of the worksheets.

These worksheets can be used as an instructional tool, in a small group lesson, in a literacy center, as a review, given as homework, or in any other way you see fit.

The absence of distracting graphics such as borders and other decorations are a purposeful design choice to prevent pulling focus away from the learning and task at hand.
