Description

If you're looking for a fun Valentine's Day Craft to add into your math lesson, this is for you! Your students will use small numbers and show them in 5 different ways. Its perfect for a review!

There are 5 different heart solving options along with addition and subtraction number sentences sentences to write and then solve.

The 5 options are:

  • 10 frame
  • Number line
  • Number bond
  • Draw a picture
  • Solve it 4 ways

How to make the craft:

  • Print both sides of the heart onto cardstock.
  • Cut out around the heart and glue the 2 pieces together to form the heart.
  • Print the chocolate pieces with the empty addition and subtraction sentences onto brown or white paper.
  • On the chocolate pieces, students will create their own number sentence.
  • Glue the chocolate piece onto the heart to make a flap.
  • Under the chocolate flap, students will solve their number sentence using one of the 5 ways.
