Description
Students will create Circle Graphs (which they will later turn into hearts) and give them to their favorite teacher in the school.
Students will first fill in a decimal/fraction/percent/degree chart using the candy from a box of candy hearts. They will use this information to create a circle graph. Students will then turn the circle into a heart and write a message on the back of the heart for their favorite teacher.
The chart (and an example of how to complete the chart), how to create the circle and a finished product are included in this lesson.
Alternative ideas for this activity are also included.
There is even an additional lesson on reflections included, if you choose to use it!

Great holiday activity for students, keeps them engaged while learning and gives them the opportunity to reach out to past teachers
Fun Valentine's Day activity. We teach circle graphs in 6th math anymore (looped up to 7th) but it is a great enrichment tool!
Great activity to incorporate Valentines Day, candy and making circle graphs!!
