This slide contains the most commonly used visual models that students use in 5th grade. They are great visuals to help students remember the types of models and strategies they can use when solving story problems. Models include a place value chart, number disks, vertical and horizontal number lines, an area model, a tape diagram, and number bonds.
How to use:
Slides can be printed out on standard printer paper, laminated, and hung around the classroom. Post slides to Google Classroom or make copies for students to glue into their math notebooks to reference when completing independent work. Please make a copy of the slides if you plan to make changes.
