Description

Time is a difficult concept for young children. This, mixed with a variety of dynamic developmental phenomena children are experiencing, can make transitions, understanding expectations, and sometimes even cooperation, difficult. Creating a visual schedule that reflects a child's experience, abilities and the family expectations can be excellent aid in building understanding and cooperation. This set includes 2 different charts that allow you to create a visual schedule for daily tasks as well as for tasks that occur weekly as well as for special events. There are 60 visual cards to allow the schedule to grow with your child and their abilities and responsibility levels, as well as several blank cards you can customize. These include everyday tasks, as well as the events that happen less frequently (e.g. vacation, playdates, a grandparent visiting). If you put the tips into practice, my hope is that your family will experience greater harmony as you move through your days with your little ones.
