85 easy print and go worksheets to help your students practice and deepen their understanding of this metacognitive reading comprehension strategy. Differentiated lines for different levels of learning. Great for Kindergarten, First, Second, and Third Grade. Each worksheet comes in color or black and white options. An Easel Activity to easily assign worksheets to google classroom.

Four categories of learning to help you easily teach the visualizing reading comprehension strategy:

  • Visualizing thought bubble worksheet
  • Make a Movie in your mind worksheet
  • Text Evidence worksheet
  • Visualize with your Five Senses worksheet

Ideas to use:

  • After a whole group lesson on Visualizing while reading, students can show what mental images they had while you were doing a read aloud.
  • During Self-Selected reading time students can draw what mental images they had while they were reading.
  • During Buddy Reading time- After students read together they can draw what mental images they had while they were reading.
  • You can print multiple copies of each one and let student's choose which worksheet they want to use for extra practice after you have introduced each one.
  • After you have taught this strategy these are great for a substitute teacher because these worksheets are easy and fun.
