Visualizing (Visualising) - Task Cards
This resource includes 40 task cards to reinforce visualizing (visualising) as a reading strategy. Task cards cover a range of ability levels. There are 20 cards asking students to draw a picture describing the scene they see in their minds, and 20 cards asking students to write a description of the image provided. Students are encouraged to use descriptive language, similes, and metaphors when describing the image.
An answer key sheet is provided for students to write their answers. Alternatively, students could complete the answers out in their books.
US spelling and UK spelling versions are included in this download. Simply unzip the file and select the version that you require.
This resource includes a digital (Google Slides) version. See the end page of the resource for the details and the link to access the digital version.
Please note: Answers are not included due to the subjective nature of visualizing (visualising).
