Description
This set of 24 task cards provides students with practice calculating the volume OR a missing dimension of a rectangular prism. Whole numbers, decimals, and fractions are included. The questions are organized as follows:
- Find the volume, given whole number dimensions
- Find the volume, given decimal dimensions
- Find the volume, given fractional dimensions
- Find a missing dimension, given whole numbers
- Find a missing dimension, given decimals
- Find a missing dimension, given fractions
Works great as a quiz or test review or just for extra practice after the skill is introduced.
What's included?
- 24 Task Cards (4 to a page)
- Student Recording Sheet (mini white boards work as a great alternative!)
- Answer Key
- 32 unique MATHO game boards (laminate & reuse or print enough for each student and have them mark answers with a highlighter)
Task Cards: Use the cards for activities such as "scoot", a walkabout activity, or display them under the document camera and have students write their answers on mini whiteboards.
Bingo: These can be used to “gamify” the activity. To play: Distribute a game board to each student. Display a task card under the document camera. Students will find the answer and record on the recording sheet (I also love using white boards as a paperless option!). After the allotted time, discuss the answer, as needed. Students will cross off the answer on their game board. There are 24 questions in this set, so all answers will be on their game board – just in a different spot. Play for 5 in a row or 4 corners. Depending on time, you can continue playing for additional winners.
