Description
Volume of rectangular prisms and composite figures is the focus of these colorful practice activities! These volume coloring worksheets plus digital coloring activity give you a variety of options.
- Students solve, find the solution number on the coloring page (or digital coloring section), and color with the color indicated.
- Students will immediately know whether or not they found the correct volume - if their answer is incorrect, they won't find it on the coloring sheet!
Check out the Preview and video demo above to see what's included and to see how the digital version works (students will need to know how to use the "Fill color" feature).
Problems require students to:
- Find volume of cubes and rectangular prisms
- Find volume of composite figures (composed of rectangular prisms)
- Multiply numbers that include the decimal 0.5 (in version B and digital version)
This easy-prep volume resource includes:
1) Three print versions for differentiation:
- Each of the versions (A, B, and C) have a version with customary and metric units AND a version with only metric units (same problems, just different units)
- The versions that use metric are labeled A – M, B – M, and C – M
Version A:
- Problem sheet with 15 questions
- Uses whole number measurements
- Coloring sheet
Version B:
- Problem sheet with 15 questions – 10 questions are the SAME questions as version A
- Five problems use decimal lengths (only 0.5)
- Same coloring pattern as Version A but different colors
Version C
- Problem sheet with 10 problems
- Measurements use whole numbers 10 and below
- Different coloring pattern (less complex)
2) One Slides version (could also be used in PPT):
- Same problems as Version B; coloring pattern is like Version C, but uses Version B colors
- Includes the 2nd version that has ONLY metric measurements (same problems)
- Coloring instructions and link for digital are found in the PDF download.

4) Two coloring pages with no numbers, for students to color their own way, for fun:-)
