Do you have students who are at risk for language disorders, or do you want to provide push-in language support in the classroom? These WH questions Intervention Lessons are a perfect fit!
This product is a structured program to teach answering and asking WH Questions. Provide quick (10-15 minute) lessons for small group or whole group instruction that will give students exposure to WH questions in both receptive and expressive format.
Here's what you'll get:
2 units are included in this resource, one for answering WH questions, and one for asking WH questions. Each unit includes a teaching poster to introduce the skill, and 3 lessons with both receptive and expressive language activities, including:
- NAMING includes 3-4 opportunities for guided practice of the newly acquired skill.
- LISTEN UP reinforces the student’s receptive understanding of the skill.
- CHECK YOURSELF allows the students a chance to practice the skill independently.
- SAY IT, FIND IT, WRITE IT gives students a chance to practice the skill expressively, receptively, and in written form.
- RAPID FIRE provides a quick assessment of the student’s skill set at the end of the lesson.
Scheduling suggestions are also included!
This curriculum can be printed and store in a binder with sheet protectors for easy, on-the-go therapy. You can also print out individual pages for students to make the resource more interactive. Short on space? Use this as a NO PRINT activity by loading onto your iPad, which is what I do! This allows me to take the entire packet with me on the go, and see small groups in the hall for short amounts of time!
