Do your students need extra practice with waves? With these task cards, your students will be asked: what a wave is, what 2 things must be present for a wave to form, what the 3 types of mechanical waves are, to identify the parts of a transverse wave, to identify the parts of a longitudinal wave, and so much more!
This is an interactive set of task cards - 8 pages of cards (4 per page) for a total of 32 different cards.
I have included 2 versions:
1 set of task cards with QR codes
1 set of task cards without QR codes
Why use QR codes?
Students can check their answers by scanning the QR code on each card. Connection to the internet is not required to scan the code. However, a QR scanner is required on the device. There are several free apps available to download.
I was slow to start using QR codes in my classroom, but I highly recommend them! Students love being able to use their phones (or iPads or laptops) and the self-checking makes it easier on the teacher!
Still not convinced about using QR codes in your classroom?
Use the version without QR codes! I have included both versions so you have the choice. :)
Either version would work really well for independent study, partner work, review, or stations.
Your download will include:
-32 task cards with QR codes
-32 task cards without QR codes
-answer sheet for students to record their answers
-answer key for you
-directions for how to use the task cards in your own classroom
-template so you can create more cards if you'd like
I hope your students will enjoy these task cards as much as mine do!
