Description

This is an interactive (drag and drop) weather activity that uses Google Slides and is Google Classroom ready!

Once purchased, you will get a link to copy the Google Slides directly to your Google Drive.

******************************************

Here's what's included:

  • 6 interactive, drag and drop slides where students match the correct word to the weather shown in the pictures (there are 2 pictures per slide). Extreme weather is included. Here's the weather that is featured in the slides: hot, cold, sunny, rainy, cloudy, snowing, windy, hailstorm, lightning, thunderstorm, tornado, and hurricane.

  • 1 assessment slide where students can draw (or paste) a picture showing their favorite type of weather

  • a teacher tips sheet

UPDATED to include an Easel version as well (which is great for little hands, yay!).

✏️ Tips for use:

- The Google Slides version is great for an interactive whiteboard activity. If you'd like to save a copy of it to your desktop for easier access during class, simply open the Google Slides activity in your Drive. Then, download it as a PowerPoint to your desktop! It will still be interactive.

- Easel is great for assigning the activity to learners on their own devices. You don't need to use an edit mode (as you would with Google Slides) and students can't accidentally resize objects.

- I suggest using this activity for whole class instruction then allowing students to try it on their own with Easel. I look forward to hearing how it works for you!

Hi Barbara, thanks so much for the feedback! I'm glad the resource was helpful. I know it can be challenging for small hands to use mouses (mice?!). With all the tech little ones are using these days, I'm hoping that tech companies will make devices for small hands a little more user-friendly. Take care! ~ Nicole
