Task Cards Sets Include:
- Color
- Black and White: Great for printing on Astrobright paper to save on ink!
1. FIND IT:
- Each task card has a focused picture for students to look for. The student must search for the picture scattered amongst the other winter pictures. The number at the top represents how many pictures the student needs to search for. Use transparent bingo chips to find and cover the picture or use a dry erase marker to circle the picture found.
2. TALLY MARKS:
- The student counts the number of snowmen tally marks. The student circles the number to match it.
3. CLIP IT:
- The student counts the number of snowballs inside the ten frame. The student places a clip on the number to match the picture quantity. This helps support one-to-one correspondence and builds their number sense within a ten frame.
4. ADDITION TEN FRAME:
- The student looks at the two groups placed inside the ten frame. The student counts how many pictures represent each group and writes it down as the addend in the number sentence. Then the student counts how many pictures there are in all and writes the sum.
5. SUBTRACTION PART-PART-WHOLE:
- The student will use the mittens to help them find the missing part. The student identifies the whole number which represents the total number of mittens. Then the student will cross off the known part on the mittens. The remaining mittens is the unknown part. The student writes the number in the blank part in the PPW.
7. ONE MORE ONE LESS:
- The student practices one more and one less. The student looks at the number in the middle and thinks about the numbers that come before and after it. The student writes the numbers inside the box.
8. NUMBER PUZZLES:
- The student practices number recognition, number words, and counting. The student must match the number and number word to the picture quantity.
9. SKIP COUNTING PICTURE PUZZLES:
- The student practices counting by 1’s, 2’s, 5’s, and 10’s. Cut each puzzle on the lines for the students to rebuild the puzzle. The student places the numbers in order while using the pictures to support their skip counting skills. I made this specific set a full page option as well.
10. 2D SHAPES CLIP IT:
- The student counts the number of sides in the 2D shape and then places a clip on the number to match the number of sides.
11. 2D SHAPE PUZZLES:
- The student puts together a 3 piece puzzle based on shapes. The student must identify the shapes and shape name to place the puzzles together.
