- These problems are made with THIRD GRADE curriculum in mind! I am a 3rd grade teacher in Texas.
What These Problems Include
Problems are written to model the high-level, rigorous word problems you find in curriculum and state testing. A lot of the problems contain media for the students to discern information from, including:
- Charts
- Tables
- Pictorial Models
- Bulleted Lists
Students use this information in order to solve each word problem. And YES! Each chart, table, and bulleted list is completely editable!
How Can I Use These Problems?
Each problem is fully created, ready for you to use as-is. But the best part? Each problem is also EASILY EDITABLE. Need to change the numbers to fit a certain place value or skill you are talking about? Go ahead! Need to change the names to make it relevant for your students? Go for it! Need to slightly change the problem for your students to practice after you have completed one as a whole group? The options are endless!
- Whole Group: Display on your digital board and annotate the problem as you model for your students good problem-solving strategies. Students can follow along on whiteboards or in their journals.
- Small Group: Print these problems out and slip into dry-erase sleeves to practice in a small group setting. Create progress monitor quizzes to track the progress of your students.
- Assignments & Homework: Edit/copy/paste the problems to make your own assignments and homework for your students.
- Quizzes & Tests: Edit/copy/paste the problems to make your own assignments and homework for your students.
- Stations, Math Journals, and More: Create activities, games, task cards, journal prompts, etc. for your students to use in a variety of ways.
