Description
These word problem sets involve solving single variable equations. Depending on the type of problem, strategies like creating information grids, using formulas or describing relationships using a single variable might be employed. Each worksheet has 10 problems of increasing difficulty with full written out solution keys. One method for use could be to demonstrate 5 problems in class and have the students solve the remaining 5 for homework. In a 45 minute block, I typically introduce two problem sets of two different "types". If your students are just beginning to solve word problems, I have a free graphic organizer that might help.
This bundle includes the following word problem sets:
- Age
- Distance
- Lever
- Mixture
- Motion
- Perimeter
Total of 70 word problems. The preview is for the Motion worksheet.
