This decoder was inspired by numberless story problems. It allows you to decipher a word problem the way an ELA teacher would uses annotation to decipher an article. It is broken into 5 sections: Big Idea (label), Important Numbers, Drawing, Hidden Questions, and Solve with Equation.

The decoder is saved as a background. You could have students type out the information on top of the slide too.
