Description
Fun reading and word challenges! Small words wrapped within longer words await students’ ingenuity in identifying them, correctly spelling them, and strategically locating them in sentences to produce logical statements.
This resource includes 30 pages of 8 puzzle sentences on each page.
In addition to being great fun, the puzzles can also help improve reading skills. Good readers are often able to figure out unknown words by logically considering possibilities based on context and sentence structure. Word Wrappers provide practice in examining context and structure in order to find the correct words for the blanks. The puzzles also reinforce spelling skills and provide an opportunity to expand vocabulary.
These make good activities for reading centers or for students who finish other work early.
The puzzles were originally published by NASCO as a book, titled Spellbinders Level A.
