Experience

I’m Evelyn Christensen, a former teacher with a doctorate in math education. I love to create resources to make learning fun! I have 15 years of teaching experience, including most levels from kindergarten to graduate school. The majority of my teaching was at the elementary level, because that’s my favorite age.

Teaching style

I taught Montessori for 4 years and afterwards continued with a modified Montessori approach with lots of hands-on activities and individualized instruction.

Phi Beta Kappa. My Inchimals (published by Fat Brain Toys) won a Teachers' Choice Award, a NAPPA award, and a Creative Child award. My Aba-Conundrums (also published by Fat Brain Toys) won a Parents' Choice Award and a Creative Child award.

My own education history

BA in Mathematics + 7-12th teaching certification from Agnes Scott College. MA in Mathematics, EdD in Mathematics Education, Montessori certification, and teaching certification for grades K-6th from University of Kentucky.
