Work on Writing Task Cards (Sample)
Share

Description

This is a sample of the Task Cards I've created for my Work on Writing Center for Daily 5. You can find the full set in my TPT Store. The description is listed below. Enjoy!

I designed these task cards to create a sense of independence and autonomy during Work on Writing in Daily 5, but they can really be used for any writing time. They are written at a second grade level with some academic vocabulary.

The goal is that the students are able to locate and flip through the task cards during Work on Writing to find one that appeals to them. They can then take it with them and complete their writing project elsewhere.

There are 40 task cards ranging in writing projects from interviews and short stories to poetry, song lyrics, and lists.

They were created with the hope that they would encourage students to be thoughtful, mindful, and creative.

I hope you enjoy using these as much as I do.
