Unit 1 Lesson 2 Worksheet - "Match Written Numbers to Images"

This worksheet is intended for Newcomer English Language Learners / Multilingual Learners to be used either as an Entry Task or as Homework.

Can be used in conjunction with NatGeo/ Cengage INSIDE the USA Unit 1 pages 7-9.

This activity is designed to introduce or reinforce written numbers

Prep: Print a copy for each student.

Independent Work: Students will draw a line from the written numbers to the images or numerical numbers they represent.

Support & Reinforce Learning: Display the worksheet. Have the students repeat after you to say each of the written numbers. If you are displaying the worksheet on a Smartboard, IFP or are projecting it onto a whiteboard, then call on students to come up and draw the line between the written numbers and images. After a student draws the line and before they return to their seat, have them read the number and identify the image (example “Five books). After you have gone over each written number, prompt the class to read each sentences in a choral response one more time before moving on to the next activity.
