Description
Looking for a way to review writing and graphing linear equations? This Map Task is ready to go, and will help students apply their knowledge at then end of a linear equations units.
Students will complete 15 questions to find the linear equations of various "streets" and locations on their map given different pieces of information (i.e. two points, a point and slope, etc.). The linear equations include standard form, slope-intercept form, and point-slope form and references parallel and perpendicular lines. After students have calculated the equation for each street, they will then graph the equations. They will also have to plot points of various locations on the map.
There is a PDF version and an EDITABLE Microsoft Word version included. A basic rubric is provided with an colored answer key.
Grading Tip: Print the key on a transparency, so you can lay it over students' work to easily check.
Note: If you are having problems printing, please make sure you select "fit to page" and/or "fit to printable area" before clicking print.
