This assignment is an example of writing in calculus. Students work in groups to solve the problem presented by the client and then write a collaborative report explaining the solution.

This assignment can be done individually but, when used in a group setting, students learn not only how to express their ideas but the concept of working in a team. I generally allow the students to divide the work among themselves without input.

General time-frame is two weeks for completion of the assignment.
