About the store
Welcome to the Art Kids Store! I LOVE teaching art to small people and have 20 years experience teaching art at the K-5 level and 1 year teaching 9-12th grade. I also run after school and summer camp art programs. I hope you find a lesson or two that your students love as much as mine do! My store is fairly new. I have not had much time after transitioning back to the United States to add more lessons to my store but I promised to get some more of my most popular lessons loaded this summer! Make sure to check out the POP Art Donut Sculptures, Graffiti inspired Scrape Paintings, Sgraffito Hearts, Japanese Cherry Blossom Painting, and Acoma Pots with Lucy Lewis. These are some of my kids all time favorites! Let me know how you like them! Check out Artkidsinlasvegas.com for more information. And thank you for supporting Art Kids!

My own education history

I received a B.S. degree from Florida State University in Art Education, an M.Ed. Degree from Lesley University in Integrated Arts and in 2016 received my Gifted and Talented Education endorsement through Southern Utah University. Additional graduate-level coursework was completed through The Art of Education University in Classroom Management, Autism in Art, Reaching All Artists Through Differentiation, Instructional Strategies for Art Teachers and Curriculum in Art.

Additional biographical information

I have 16 years of teaching experience with the Clark County School District in Las Vegas. I have 3 years of teaching experience working in Japan for the DoDEA school district and one year teaching at a private school. I started Art Kids (in Las Vegas) in 2016 after numerous requests from parents for after school art classes because their kids loved art so much. It started small with one after school class each week and grew into 3 days a week, special holiday classes, and half day summer camps. I am married with 2 teenaged children and one fur baby. I love teaching art! I started selling some of the lessons I use in my own classroom on Teachers Pay Teachers a few years ago. I hope you find the lessons in my store useful in your own classroom. Every lesson posted has been student tested.
