Teaching style

I like to use guided notes that are easy for students to read while allowing them to add their own thoughts and ideas. I also incorporate hands-on, inquiry-based laboratories and engaging activities to reinforce concepts in a fun way. I’m always on the lookout for activities and demonstrations that will ignite students’ excitement about science! Additionally, I believe that understanding the nature of science is a crucial aspect of any science curriculum, so I strive to integrate the nature of science into my lessons whenever possible.

My own education history

I have a B.S. in Education (7-12 Science) and an M.A. in Chemistry, with my graduate research primarily centered on the content knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge of science educators. This research highlighted the significant challenges that many science teachers, particularly new ones, face in the classroom. My goal is to provide a comprehensive, rigorous, and carefree science curriculum to any teacher that is in need or that is simply looking to try something new!
