TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Teaching 7th grade Social Studies at Waunakee Community Middle School, Waunakee, WI 2018-present. Taught 7th grade Geography and 8th grade U.S. History at Beloit Turner Middle School, Beloit, WI, USA since 2011. Student taught Civics, World Cultures, U.S. History and the Holocaust at Auburndale Middle School and Auburndale High School, Auburndale, WI, USA

MY TEACHING STYLE

I strongly believe in gamification and game based learning, flipped classroom principles, and using a wide variety of projects centering around student interests (including video games, fantasy sports, strategy games, etc.) I write, perform and produce parody songs and original raps based on class content and post them on youtube. My biggest strength in the classroom is the rapport I have with students. My wife says I am a good middle school teacher because I have a 12 year old's sense of humor!
