TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a middle school math teacher for 27 years (OMG!!) and still love it today just as much as I did when I first started! I teach 8th grade math, 7th grade advanced math, and honors-level algebra to 7th and 8th graders. I've also been employed by the NJCTL as a curriculum writer and have worked as an assessor for several national state tests, most recently the PARCC.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My first priority is that my students ENJOY math class...once that is established, they are much more receptive to what I'm presenting and more willing to persevere and do what it takes to be successful. Face it, there are so many people who do not enjoy math and I truly believe that teachers can "change it up" and make it fun while, at the same time, preparing their students for high school and beyond!
