This is a 2 1/2 page internet assignment with 32 questions using the Internet. The link is included on the assignment. Students follow the link or look up the title of the assignment on the website and read the article. They answer the questions that go along with the article. This assignment is designed for high school/college level.

For this activity you simply plan ahead by asking another teacher to come into your classroom. Have them fill out the attached form before they arrive. You must do this activity while you are in the chapter on Memory. Cover the material you would normally. At the last 10 minutes of the period hand out the attached form to the students. See how much they remember about who came in the room or if they remember at all.

This is a nice little break from lecture and notes to cover the Cold War. This is a Power Point that I created to use in my classroom. It goes step by step from the chain of events starting in 1979 in Afghanistan to the attacks on 911. There is no use of graphic photos and it could be used easily in all grades at the high school level and probably Middle School as well.
