TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have 15 years experience teaching middle and high school science as well as outdoor environmental education and garden based teaching. I am currently teaching 6th grade science and have been doing so for the past 5 years. Middle school is where I belong - it matches my maturity level. In addition to teaching I have been on the steering committee in my district to implement the NGSS and have been a teacher leader to lead more PDs.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I believe it is essential to get students involved and excited about science with hands on interactive activities that get them thinking outside the box.
