Fidget Rules

This is a one page social story that can be used to help students learn how to use a fidget properly. The use of a fidget can help students to focus and give them something to do with their hands. I have found it necessary to make sure to teach students how to use the fidgets though. I always introduce them in the Learning Center and read the social story several times before the students begin to use them in the general education classroom. Enjoy!

Teaching style

I have a very balanced style of teaching. I believe there are many correct ways to teach material. The focus for me is the student. I work to identify how they learn best and focus on making connections to experiences my students have had. I work with students with a variety of disabilities and believe it is very important to provide learning opportunities that teach explicitly. The more I work with students, the more I learn!
