About the store

Experience

Hello, I'm William, a high school science teacher and author of the Science Hedgehog. My store includes complete sets of student notes, test bank questions, worksheets, flash cards, and other activities!

Teaching style

I am unapologetic about how nerdy I am about science. It's my belief that the best way to have students buy into their own education is to authentically show them that you care about them and you love what you're doing. My lessons are a mix of direct instruction, student-led discussions, and hands-on investigative learning. I also feel it's critical to help students discover connections between curriculum topics and the real world, and introduce students to different study and learning strategies.

My own education history

Bachelor of Science - McGill University - Major: Anatomy and cell biology - Minors: Psychology and English Literature Masters of Science - McGill University - Experimental Medicine: Cardiology Bachelor of Education: University of Toronto - General Science and Biology - Global Citizenship and Sustainable Development.

Additional biographical information

I enjoy traveling, science fiction, being outside, and spending time with family/friends. I love the collaborative nature of the teaching community and interacting with other teachers to learn from one another. Send me an email, or a message on Facebook/Instagram if you want to talk about anything going on in your classroom, have questions about how to implement a resource, or if you have a suggestion for how I could improve a resource in my store.
