This funky song helps teach/review the 12's multiplication facts, and also teaches two number sense strategies to help understand them. The first strategy covered is adding the tens fact and the twos fact. 6 X 12 is equal to the sum of 6 x 10 and 6 X 2 or 72 = 60 + 12 The second strategy is doubling the 6 fact.
