QR Code Math Grocery Store: Adding and Subtracting
Math Market using QR codes. Each Code has corresponding pictures and when the code is scanned on an Ipad, the item name and price comes up. Also includes coupons students can use to subtract from their total if they buy the right quantity of different items, as well as receipts for showing their work and recording purchases. There are 12 different "stations" (A-L) Each group has a bank, money to deposit, and money to withdraw. Students will workout their problem and scan the QR code to see if they are correct!

Place Values and Comparing Decimals QR Code Scavenger Hunt
This is a scavenger hunt I created to use with my Middle School Special Education students. This could work for anyone learning these objectives!
This hunt reviews place value and comparing decimals (Which one is greater or lesser?) It will ask questions such as:
“Which number is greater?”
“What is the place value of the 4?”
“Which number is in the hundredths place?”

Currency Converter Math Activity
Have students take their study of money and decimals a step further. Students use the QR code to research currency conversions and complete the graphic organizer about their chosen type of currency. Great for centers or enrichment/extension projects.

This two part, end-of-the-year project is great for practicing mathematical concepts like area, perimeter, and decimals. The rubrics provide directions for students to first create a menu that will be a part of their original theme park, and then design it to certain specifications.
