In this project, the student should take a tape measure, ruler, or yardstick and measure the lengths of the walls of their bedroom. They add the measurements and compute the perimeter. Then they ask an adult or older sibling to do the same. Finally, they calculate the percent error based on the parent's / older sibling's measurements. This is a great "distance learning" project.

Conduct student surveys and then correlate data to show the relationship between fractions, ratios, decimals and percents with this worksheet. I use this as a starter activity for two days. Day 1, I place the survey question and choices on the board, day to we correlate the data of all classes and put them on the Survey Data Chart.
