This activity is designed to extend students' understanding of different types of patterns (numerical, alphabetical, & geometric). The activity is intended for students to work in cooperative pairs and design their own original pattern for their fellow classmates to solve. I always use this activity prior to Back-To-School Night and have them on display in my classroom. QR Code - 2-digit by 2-digit multiplication
This item requires a technology device that scans QR codes. The first page is a list of 10 2-digit by 2-digit multiplication problems. There is a line for the answer and another line to write which QR codes matches the answer. There are 10 QR codes (3 pages). Each QR codes is the answer to one of the multiplication problems. The QR codes number matches the number of the problem (i.e., QR #1 is the answer to question #1).

Multiply on the Fly! PPT Master Basic Multip. Facts Color Coded
Help children master their basic multiplication facts through color association and commutative property using this color-coded, research based, teacher created PPT. This has been especially helpful to children that tend to struggle with learning their facts even with flash cards and writing their facts on a regular basis. Math Secret Code Activity/ Simplifying Fractions
This activity asks students to simplify fractions, and match the answer with the letter and place it in the secret code (quote or saying) below. This quote or saying goes along with a commercial, movie clip or some other usually humorous short video (link provided) that the class enjoys afterward . I would make and use these every couple weeks as a review, warm up or take home activity, and the students enjoyed and looked forward to them, and it provided good drill and practice.

A resource I made for teaching the grid method. Children take a question and work out the answer then check using the QR codes. Contains 12 questions with matching QR code.

Highlighter Happy (A Code Word Worksheet)
Give the students a word problem sheet. Then, give them this worksheet and a highlighter. Have them go through and highlight the code words and record them. Helping students to recognize code words helps them solve word problems and pull out the information from them.

QR Code - Division
This product is exactly like the QR Code - 2-dgit by 2-digit multiplication one. There are 10 division problems listed on the page (ranging from 2-digit dividends to 4-digit dividends all divided by 1-digit divisors). The answers are within the QR codes. Students should use an iPad or other device to scan the QR code after figuring out the answer and write the number of the code on the line.

Color-coded multiplication table First, find the numbers you need to multiply. Then find the square where the two numbers meet (as if you drew two imaginary lines). For example, 8*9 =72, if you drew two straight lines both numbers would meet at 72!
