The students can use them for letter identification, matching upper and lowercase letters, letter sound recognition and many more. They can also be used to put in abc order, or have a child pick a fish and have them say a word that begins or ends with that letter. Give your classroom organization and order. Classroom structure gives children a sense of calm and grounding as the begin to develop an understanding of order in their environment and using both photos and icons is a great way to make visuals accessible for diverse learners. You can also add the "children figures" to give kids a visual understanding of how many children are allowed in each area at a time to help minimize conflict.
