I made this weather set for my classroom calendar. I use it with Pre-K, but it is really more appropriate for first and second.
Set includes a display for the weather (I laminated), a chart to graph the monthly weather (I laminated; use wet erase marker to reuse monthly), 10 pieces** (hot, cold, cool, warm, sunny, cloudy, rainy, snowy, foggy, and windy), and a weather sign language chart
**Use Velcro dots to place pieces on and off display

Senses graphing/chart
I used this during each season with both Special Education students as well as Kindergarten students. They were asked to describe each pictured item and then check the box under which sense would be used. The senses were reviewed in a fun way every season without drilling and it allowed the students to expand their vocabulary as well.

On this chart there is only a happy face and a sad face because if a child receives a red face, I would always put something positive(acceptable code) so that the parent can see that although their child performed unacceptable behavior that day, they also had positive moments as well. This is a chart that can be used to help students identify and categorize which items are and are not magnetic.
I used to clip art to create images of the items the students tested. On the back of each image I put velcro and each section on the chart had velcro also, students were to place the photo under the correct heading.

I used these cards to play "weather charades" with my students. The students picked a card and acted out the weather for the rest of the class. We had a blast acting out the weather! I played the game with Kindergarten, 1st Grade, and 2nd Grade.
