This Cheat Sheet was made for students to focus on the basic fraction to percent, to decimal conversions. I would have the students memorize it andquiz them on it the following week.
Quick quiz to test how well students can convert between fractions, decimals, and percentages. This is a .DOC file, which means you are free to edit as you wish! Can easily be a quick homework and class assignment and not a quiz if you want to change the title.
This can be used as a quiz, test, or even a review for students who have learned about tax, tip, and percents. They will show that they understand how to calculate tip, find the total price of an object with tax included, and find out how much a sale price will be. They also do a quick review of converting fractions to decimals to percents.
This study sheet takes the worry out of FDP. Take away answers for a quick quiz. Students can see patterns and can develop automaticity quickly with this study guide.
Make multiplying and dividing by powers of 10 crystal clear with this engaging place value assessment! Students use pre-made place value boxes to line up their decimals and visually track how digits increase or decrease when multiplied or divided by 10, 100, or 1,000. This assessment not only checks for accuracy but also reinforces decimal alignment, place value understanding, and number sense. What’s Included: Student assessment using place value boxes Built-in visual supports for aligning
This resource can help students who have a hard time memorizing the benchmark fractions and their corresponding decimal andpercent. Fractions included are: 1/2, 1/3, 2/3, 1/4, 3/4, 1/5, 2/5, 3/5, 4/5, 1/6, 1/8, 1/10, and 1/12.
This math activity integrates both math and art. Students create a "fraction flower," with a fraction (in simplest form) as the flower's center. On the surrounding petals, students find three different equivalent fractions and both the percentand decimal conversion of the center fraction. Although it is an easy art project, it covers multiple state standards. It looks great on the wall for Back to School Nights or Open Houses!

This is a one-page handout for students in fourth or fifth grade. Students will sort their Lucky Charms and then calculate the percentand fraction for each shape. I also had my students create a bar and circle graph representing the data. Students were also required to list the landmarks numbers. This document is saved as a Word document so that you can modify the assignment to meet the specific needs of your students.
The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) have been put in place to ensure that all students are college and career ready. Consequently, it is our responsibility as educators to provide students with the type of quality instruction that will enable them to successfully access the CCSS. This activity, “Bowling for Fractions, Decimals, andPercents”, is a fun way for educators and students to begin their daunting venture into the exciting world of the CCSS while simultaneously learning the connecti
This activity will help students have fun while practicing converting fraction, decimals, and percents. This includes fractions (not mixed numbers) and repeating decimals.
This is a link to make a copy of a google form that you can use to assess students converting fractions to decimals. It asks students to convert from decimals to fractions and fractions to decimals. 9 questions.
Student will design a state park design. They have to follow the instructions of others that want a percentage of the park to be a playground or a fraction of the park to be a garden. They have to color in a 10x10 grid to display their park, convert all of the numbers between fractions, decimals, andpercents, and they must write a letter to argue why their park should be picked.
Shared math lesson, using the chart displaying the equivalent fraction, decimal andpercent. With students go through steps a and b to determine exactly how to reduce all fractions to their lowest form. Doing this several times in a guided math lesson, using either chart paper or a smart board students will begin to grasph how to reduce them using multiples. Have students complete the worksheet/chart to practice these skills, and showing the equivalent percentand decimal to match the given frac
