Teen Numbers Math Center: Arctic Animals with Built in Mini Lessons
This teen number center helps with number recognition and writing teen numbers. These teen number centers are great for number sense and fine motor practice. Children check their answers when they scan the QR code. Each QR code has children count along as the number and same amount of animals are shown. My students love Turtle Stitch! This handout was created for my Middle School classes grades 6-8. It gives an overview of creating embroidery patterns in TurtleStitch.org which can later be exported to an embroidery machine. It includes a link to the video tutorial I created as well as some code samples to get started. It does not include a tutorial for exporting to an embroidery machine, but the code written in the tutorial is ready to export if you choose.

A great introductory project that is based on student interests. Can be modified easily to work in any subject, and incorporates numeracy, budgeting, and other math skills.
