This is a MS Word file (fully editable) that I used to do a quick check-in with my kindergarten students on how well they are doing identifying shapes both 2D & 3D. It's a verbal assessment where I ask questions like "Point to all the triangles" or "What shape is to the left of the small triangle?"

Broken hearts joined together, or split apart help to visually express the concepts of addition and subtraction on these two mats. Use conversation hearts, Valentines erasers, Valentines playdough balls, or other relevant manipulatives that young learns can count. A log used to keep track of students activity just as you would reading minutes or math facts. The log can be differentiated for students who have different levels of activity. A free instruction letter is available as well as a donation letter for local businesses. Prizes are giving once per month for filled logs. Great incentive to reward children for being active. This activity can be used in centers when learning addition to 20. The first board is for dice numbered 1-6. The second board is for dice numbered 7-12. (I printed a free cube template online and numbered the sides 7-12. Note: Opposite sides should add to equal 19)
Game is played in with a partner. Roll a die, double the number and add 1, cover that number with a marker. Cover the entire board and see who has the most counters at the end. Have fun!

Two sets of cards for numbers 3 and 4. Four sets of objects are shown on each card. Student has to choose which of the four sets does not equal the number (thereby "eliminating" it).
