Easter Candy Lab Stations for Sci Method, Measurement and Graphing!
I will be using this the week leading up to Easter break. It consists of three separate labs in which the students will rotate. Each lab will take a class period, maybe a bit more. You could use all three or just pick and choose depending on how much time you had or how much candy you would like to purchase. The first activity has the students try to determine the mass of a single candy corn. Definitely have a range of acceptable masses for a single candy corn for the package that you have. The second activity has students trying out different liquids (I typically use hot and cold water, ethanol, white vinegar, and apple cider vinegar) to determine which best dissolves a candy corn.
