I use this Flipchart to introduce and reinforce Inferencing skills in First Grade. There are 2 activities. The first one is using the Reveal tool, where the students look at PART of pictures and use their schema to determine a location. The second activity requires the students to pull different tools from a mystery box and use their schema and clues to determine what worker needs those tools. This is an activity that the students absolutely LOVE!

Activities were students generate hypotheses from observation, test the hypotheses and express a conclusion are HOT (High Order of Thinking). I’m using this flipchart to teach a “weird” grammatical concept of French. Adjectives agree in gender and number with the noun they describe.
