Useful for homework or cover - or to structure a close-reading activity, this is a lengthy (though easily editable) recount from a Canadian Sergeant of an air raid and subsequent fires in May 1941. There are four sets of questions - on vocabulary, information retrieval, inference and the writer’s methods. The questions are intended to increase in challenge - information retrieval being easier than explanation of the writer’s methods - so differentiation should be straightforward.
