About the store
Welcome to Dragan Designs and Tools! I’m a seasoned high school math teacher with over 15 years of experience in the classroom, creating resources that are equal parts rigorous, relevant, and (when possible) entertaining. My specialty lies in building tools that help students develop conceptual understanding -- not just memorize formulas -- and in designing lessons that make even the most reluctant learners engage. Every resource in this store has been tested in the wild (aka my real-life classroom), refined through trial and error, and created with practicality in mind. Whether it’s a carefully thought-out teacher tool, a scaffolded lesson, a thought-provoking project, or a sanity-saving assessment tool, you’ll find materials that are ready to use, aligned with curriculum expectations, and crafted by someone who’s been in the trenches. If you’re a fellow educator who values clarity, creativity, and a little bit of humour in your teaching resources, you’re in the right place.

Experience

Teaching style

My teaching style blends structure with flexibility, high expectations with humour, and scaffolding with the occasional sarcastic eyebrow raise. I believe in helping students understand why math works, not just how to get the right answer, and I design lessons that encourage critical thinking, mathematical discourse, and genuine "aha" moments. In my classroom, you'll find a balance of direct instruction, guided practice, and open-ended challenges. I focus heavily on conceptual understanding, formative assessment, and giving students tools they can actually use, not just for the next test, but for the next course and beyond. I create resources that reflect this approach: clear, purposeful, and designed to support both student growth and teacher sanity.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Education, with a concentration in secondary mathematics. Over the years, I’ve continued to deepen my practice through ongoing professional development, recently completing a diploma in inclusive education with a focus on equity-informed teaching and supporting diverse learners. My academic background is grounded in both theory and practice -- I’ve spent over 15 years translating curriculum outcomes into real-world classroom experiences. I’ve also taken specialized coursework in areas such as autism education, educational technology, and assessment design, all of which inform the resources I create and share here.
