two-digit subtraction

Two-digit subtraction is the process of subtracting numbers that have two digits, such as 84 − 27. When subtracting two-digit numbers, we usually start from the ones place and then move to the tens place. If the top number in the ones place is smaller than the bottom number, we need to borrow from the tens place. Learning two-digit subtraction helps students understand number relationships and develop problem-solving skills for more advanced mathematics.

This process is very similar to the Tutorial Request Form in Avid.

Evaluate power with whole number! Winter Season Math Activity.

When we evaluate a power with a whole number exponent, we multiply the base by itself as many times as the exponent shows. The base is the number being multiplied, and the exponent tells how many times to multiply it. For example, 2^5=2×2×2×2×2=32. This process helps us express repeated multiplication in a shorter form. Understanding how to evaluate powers is useful in mathematics for solving problems involving large numbers and patterns. What’s Included: 24 printable task cards Available in bot

Recycle Your Math is an idea I adapted from a wonderful professor in graduate school. In fact, all of the professors in our department used this technique to further our understanding and facilitate Mastery Learning. Here’s how it works: When you return assessments or other assignments, ask students to “recycle” their work by completing this form. The goal is for students to closely examine the concept, the processes involved within the concept, how and why it works, and their own understa
