Reading Level Visual Reminder Cards
These cards provide students with a visual reminder of their reading level based on the Zone of Proximal Development suggested for AR. I use the reports from assessments such as the STAR reading test & TPRI to determine their level. Then I highlight the correct levels on each student's card. I created this template to help teachers take meaningful, in the moment anecdotal notes on their students. Checking for Understanding - Quick Formative Assessments
My goal this year is to do a better of job of checking for understanding (or quick, simple formative assessments). I created some cards to attach to the student desks that will do just that!

I Am Ready to Take My AR Quiz
This postcard is for students to take home and return when they are ready to take an AR quiz. An adult sign to let the teacher know the student has read the book at least three times, and can retell and answer questions about the book before quizzing takes place in the classroom.
