I use these progress notes quarterly to show growth in the area of reading. It includes word reading and word spelling by level. It starts with letter sounds and names and then moves on to levels A-I. Make a copy for each student and highlight the words as they master them. I also added a guide of where students should be based on the school year at Shakopee Public Schools in Minnesota. Double check your own district to see if the guide needs modification.
