RACE Rubric
The RACE writing method is an excellent way to help kids give full answers to questions requiring deeper thinking skills. This rubric is a handy way to assess and grade those answers. Kids can know what’s expected of them ahead of time and teachers can grade assignments fairly.

Behavior Management Tool
This behavior management tool could be easily used for grades 2 - 8.
I printed the behavior codes (included in the pack) on a poster printer and put it above my board for students to easily see expectations. Students could randomly earn a green ticket (just green tickets on a roll) for good behavior and would get a red ticket for negative behavior. Students would write their name, date and the behavior code (the code is on the behavior chart) on the back of their ticket.

Ukulele Karate Assessment
As students progress through each color level of karate ukulele they use this assessment to track their practice. I print a stack of these and place them next to a pencil box at 2-3 locations around the room. Students both self-assess and peer-assess for each level before coming to me to pass off a belt. This way they have practiced the song at least twice before coming to pass off a level. I often pass off students in groups to expedite the process. Good luck with ukulele karate assessments.
