This system has evolved from my basic traffic light system. I needed something that would provide room for positive reinforcement while keeping track of escalating behavior. I incorporated points because my 'treasure' was becoming too expensive to maintain. With the new point system I will assign a price to the treasure I buy and kids will have the opportunity to accumulate points to buy treasure. It is also a way to introduce basic economics.
