This is the rubric we use to assess our students writing skills. After they have finished their independent or partner writing, we review it with the child and check off (or stamp) each box that they mastered. Then, we send the sheet home, so the parents know what skill(s) their child needs to practice. Earlier in the year, we use the straight lines instead of the dotted line.
