A more time visual can help reduce unwanted behaviors when working on students relinquishing items they are playing with. It is great to increase expressing their wants in place of these behaviors. They ask for more time in place of engaging in inappropriate behaviors. You tell them they can have a set amount of time, cross of a box and set the timer. Do it up to five times and then they have to be done. Once they are able to do this. You can give them the card with all but one box crossed off.
